Snow Fall 2008 - Sherwood Oregon
Winter gloves, beanies, scarves and sleds may be hard to find, but we're sure stocked up on snow in Sherwood Oregon. Comfy socks, hot coco, good books, candles and flashlights... Power when we have it... Family, friends, neighbors and food are true comforts around these parts.
While everyday has been an adventure and to some a challenge, we have to appreciate the beauty of this winter wonderland - Here's some photos of our winter and white Christmas up here on Lebeau Road in Sherwood Oregon. A record breaking snow fall since 1968 and it's STILL snowing!
Over 2 feet and counting...
Photo 1: The view from our front porch

Photo 2: Our white lawn

Photo 3: The snow has filled the trees, is moving up the side of the house, and has covered the roof a few times...

Photo 4: Even though there's too much snow... It sure is beautiful!

Photo 5: 4 big snow balls... Actually, it's all the cars/SUV's parked in our driveway!

Photo 6: Since this photo was taken this morning, almost 2 more inches has fallen!

Photo 7: After the freezing rain yesterday, we took this photo of the sheet of ice nearly 1/2 inch thick over the top of several inches of snow. We woke up this morning to almost 8 inches of new snow on top of it... Oh, and did I mention "It's STILL snowing?"

Photo 8: What once was our back yard. The tire swing was sitting on the snow and is slowly disappearing with the bench and BBQ too.

Photo 9: The trampoline has a good two-hundred pounds of snow and ice on it now... Still offering plenty of all-weather-fun!

Photo 10: We had the cutest snow lady... But she's about covered now.

Photo 11: Here's our 3 year old dog "Gizmo" - Out braving the snow, he's such a good sport! This photo is almost 24 hours ago. We've had much more snow, so now when he goes out he looks like a little snow-mole moving around out there!

Photo 12: I'm sure Gizmo is saying... "enough already, can I come in now?"

For those of us who wished for a "White Christmas"... It's here!
Wishing you all a safe, warm, happy and healthy holiday season!
