What is our mission behind blogging?

Reminiscent of an earlier day when everyone knew their local Bucher or farmer John, people shopped where they lived, and looking for local real estate required you to drive through the neighborhoods in town - Our local blog, Discover Sherwood helps to make the world a little bit smaller and more personal as it reacquaints and re-establishes the lost bonds in a more digital world where the majority of people now merchant or start their home search online. 

One of the The Gardner Team's goals is to revive and restore the relational elements of what discovering communities used to be, and should be... while providing resources and services that better help people accomplish their real estate goals.  Getting noticed in the online world doesn't have to be hard if you know what people are looking for and how they're looking for it. 

We're building an environment that showcases real estate, community and everyday living that is uniquely attuned to what the beautiful Sherwood Oregon area is about and has to offer.  We'll continue to do this by providing a balance of information that people are seeking and reach them through relevant consumer value content in our blog, websites, podcasting, various mobile marketing directories and multi-mediachannels.  Through our marketing we'll capture the emotional bond of yesterdays past, through the present and into tomorrow's future by showcasing Sherwood not only as community, but a place you'll love living... Targeting today's largest audience- the World Wide Web.

When you do common things in an uncommon way, you'll command the attention of the world, and that's exactly where the new age has taken us.  As we continue to embrace changes in our real estate business, we adapt and our style evolves.  Our blog is a great example of that and so is a new way we recently introduced connecting "local people" who chose us as their Realtor through live video testimonials.  These can be viewed in places such as our websites, blog, YouTube and iTunes... and, these are also some of the many places we promote the properties we sell.  

Blogging has officially dominated all press while defining the term "freedom of the press."  Blogging now contributes to a large majority of the press we read across net and it finds its way into much of the "print" we read today. 

Proper blogging efforts, will reach not only online consumers, but mobile consumers too - which make up over 200 Million opportunities to put our posts about your community and listings in the palm of their hands - We simply take your exposure to the next level...

Today, online video makes up 75% of what American's watch.  Much like a video blog, we offer video podcastsof all our listings and feature them on over 120 of the top directories.  We use some of these resources to feature our clients who share their real estate story or experiences through a very personal one-on-one video clip.  It provides a great way for others to relate, and has been referred to like "a friendly chat with the neighbor next door"... One of the main reasons we started doing it.  Being that these are the very people who chose to buy or sell in the area, there's really no better endorsement than talking to the "town locals".  It's been received so well, we plan on taking that a step further... Let's just say you'll be seeing more of it.  Staying true to Localism, our videos are produced by a "local" Sherwood company, Burn it Studios.  

While some say "cool, sounds kinda techie", it's actually more like second nature to us.  Did you know that Jason and I have a combined 20 years experience in technology?  In fact, I was the District Manager & CST for all the wireless communication stores throughout Washington and Oregon, owned by the leading AT&T Wireless partner in the Northwest - My previous career where I spent well over a decade.

Working with one of the most innovative, think out side the box companies has come in useful in my real estate career as Jason's Licensed Real Estate Assistant and Director of Marketing.  Achieving years of district sales awards, marketing to the masses and extensive mobile savvy comes in handy as we enter the next generation of real estate. 

With Jason's award winning real estate accomplishments, education, and past experience as a Project Manager & Sr. Sales and Marketing Representative, where he managed some of the industries largest cliental for a leading global high-tech company (also for over a decade)... has created a great foundation for our business, and while all relative to what we do, it's one of the many things that differentiates us and sure makes us a powerful team in real estate.
